        THE WEEK'S REAL NEWS IN REVIEW
               __________________________

What a man can do and wants to do --  he should do;
what he wants to do and cannot seem to do  --  he should question;
there are many things the mind can imagine being done which can never be --
this applies most tellingly in matters regarding itself.

Whatever the group around you is thinking
(save that they should be fleeing an oncoming tornado)
is a waste of a real man's attention;
collective humanity is given just enough mental food to keep them alert to
the job at hand --  survival  --
but none extra for such frivolous pastimes as....oh let us say:
realizing what is behind this drive to survive for whom man so blindly toils.
Put for the aficionados of blunt: No thought that anyone else will ever have
will ever explain what thought is to you.
(Are all of you aware by now that the understanding of thought is the
understanding of everything that is presently unclear.)

Men feel accountable for themselves as life dictates they should --
and for life's purposes --  not man's;
when you suffer over your thoughts or actions --  you suffer for life,
thus are men life's sacrificial goats.......or heroes.....choose your view.
A man who gains the-realization will suffer for no one --  including himself.

Primary consciousness causes men to be more fearful than
they would be otherwise,
but it also is responsible for them having less to be fearful of;
the trick is to know where to draw the line between the two --  no it's not!
the trick to know is that there is no line between them or anything else.
(FYI: at one time, people who didn't have a clue were known as, Surveyors,
[people who knew where to --  draw-the-dividing-lines.
(conversely, those-who-knew were known as  --  people-who've-run-all-together.)])

It takes no talent to criticize;
remind the next critical thoughts you have about yourself of this fact.
Only in the routine world is the desire to change something
motivated by the something being flawed.
If those who really want to see what is going on ever get to,
it will only be so that they can see what is going on;
there is no other purpose than that  --  and thinking otherwise is a barrier.

 The richer you are in consciousness --  the better;
a man can be overburdened with superfluous facts,
but never overloaded with clear, know-nothing consciousness;
consciousness that is unemployed;
with no fixed address;
no past and no plans for the future;
that is the wealthy consciousness that will open your eyes.

What the few look for is not to be found in what they want to look at;
coming to grips with this is what ultimately separates those with potential sight from those permanently blind  --   normal  --   but blind.
(New version for those who love the oldies:
Not only do ordinary people not know what is going on --
they don't want to know.
            ["Oh goody!  Then let me have their share!"].)

The final (though admittedly, fist-to-the-unprepared-face) fact regarding criticism is this: If a man who understood that he was living in a dream,
and who was much bothered by and struggled mightily to awaken from the dream,
reached a place where the fact no longer made him critical of himself,
he would cease to be in a dream.
Put for the simple loving: If you are unenlightened and don't care --
you're not unenlightened, (course this is true only for those special people).

What you feel from the brain stem down is life's business;
what you experience above the stem should be yours.
(Ye gads! what a concept: should-be!
...an alert man should know better.)

Where a man should cultivate poverty is in discriminate-thought;
he should put his ordinary mind on a starvation diet,
ignoring that food upon which all around him gorge,
and which makes men's minds so fat that it squeezes their little eyes shut.
Wake up!  Smell the herd's breakfast and shout out: "Nothing for me thanks,
I'm getting de-hoofed today."

What those with the-hunger are hungry for is always just behind
what their thoughts are salivating over --  so:
ignore what you think you're searching for and look at what is right behind
the thoughts defining your search.
(It is amazing!  --   simple but nonetheless amazing.)

There is a feature of consciousness that fools everyone save that feature;
it is like a lost relative who no one can recognize but the relative;
the perfect way to hide that which life does not want man to realize --
without dispensing with it altogether.
("Gad zooks! --  what an opening: "Without-dispensing-with-it-altogether!")

In the routine world: only the poor believe they are rich,
and only the ignorant think they know;
a man wealthy in consciousness is a secretive man;
no one is aware of his wealth --  ordinary minds cannot be;
only a man who-knows, knows that he knows,
(helps keep this-thing under some control.)

The old man said to the lad:
"I was a fight manager, and had two contenders: Kid Koray & Battlin' Bob,
and gave most of my attention to Battlin' Bob....I guess because:
he was my first fighter:
he was the strongest:
he showed up more often, (or maybe for other reasons of which I am unaware):
but the way it all turned out was that me giving all of my attention to trying to improve Battlin' Bob ended up making Kid Koray a champ.

What great, perhaps necessary, misdirected effort was required to make it work.”

                   Misdirection! --  misdirection,
                   that a'boy  ----  misdirection.
