 January 27, 2002.                                                     Your momentary hesitation.

One man’s: Question Of The Day:
“Exactly what led you to conclude that I do not know what I am doing? --
--  other than knowing me?”    (directed to himself, it might be noted.)

In the affairs singular to man, the reasons people offer for
why any particular thing happened, are confessions of nescience :
everyone looks for reasons; no one sees any,
and only the few realize it and understand it.

The unsure frantically search for reasons to explain everything
when human-produced reasons never explain anything;
what ordinary men offer as the “reason” for a particular thing happening
is just a stalling tactic to put off having to face the fact that
they do not know the reason.

One man believed he was asleep for so long that he finally became so,
(not to be confused with the man who pretended to be awake for so long
that it ceased to make any difference:
no body wants to hear about that sonofabitch.)

When a man accidentally stumbled into the lair of,
The Wake-Up People’s Secret Conspiracy, he said:
“I guess you will not let me leave since I now know too much,”
but they replied:
Oh no --  you are free to go;
there is nothing that you can reveal about our activity……….well,
nothing that anyone will believe.”

Only those still in a dream
have dreams of what, “being awake” will be like.

One man named his dead otter: Be Like This.
       “Here,  Be Like This!  --   commear boy!”
           No one who knows what they are doing will commear,
           (this applies also to your own consciousness, it might be noted).

         Don’t you just love it?! –  a secret that doesn’t have to be kept secret.

One boy caught a bird the likes of which he had never seen before;
it was so extraordinary that the experience became the high point of his life.
But the winged one could not be continually held without either killing it,
or his holding hand.

                        What a marvel: a bird that cannot be held to be kept.

As regards the time, location and age of metaphors & myths:
they have no time, locale or age;
the myths of men’s minds are the un writ schematics of his consciousness
projected outward! --  away from him --  so that he won’t get splattered --
                               --  and mess up his civilized suit.

One benefit of being religious is that if you read ,for instance,
in your holy book that God said, “Cheer up" or "Don't do that"
you can pretend to believe that it has more weight than if just another human said it,
(of course hearing something you want to hear from another person is still preferable to hearing it from your own mind).

All in all, men understand the real value of words --
which is why they they must constantly attribute to them
substance which they experientially do not demand.

Words are a game  --  as is the whole second reality they create,
and in which the ordinary spend so much of their consciousness coin.

A man with principles is a dunce;
only a man with understanding has anything.

Ordinary consciousness operating at the height of normal efficiency
looks at both the physical world and man’s inner one as
machinery to be figured out,
while the extraordinary few look upon the latter as theatre.

                To routine minds, understanding how life works
                seems to be an engineering problem,
                but the fantastic few see the situation as being an engineering solution.

A curious story: One man ran out of advice for others
at the exact same time he ran out of it for himself.

The world’s oldest known morning prayer was:
May the gods this day direct my thoughts.”
How did men stray so far from that original view --
which had nothing to do with supernatural beings --
but everything to do with the supreme matter of mortal importance  --  thought?
     (The normal unfocused neural situation can be controlled by laughing or singing, (sans words),
       while the wandering head voice is trying to talk.
       .......[And it can be brought under constant control if you constantly laugh or so sing.])

After spending considerable time in pursuit of TheGreatSecret,
one man sat down to rest for a bit, and suddenly began to so ponder:
“Is there a lesson I should have already spotted based on the fact that
I have two of everything important: two hands, two feet, two ears,
two brain hemispheres, but yet three eyes:
the two I see with and the other one that tries to tell me what I see?!”
  (He did not sit as long as he had planned.)

Once you understand the nature of thought
the apparent differences of intelligence in ordinary people
become meaningless;
the only intelligence of interest to a real person
is that intelligence which is beyond all intelligence:
an intelligence that has no natural existence, but must be created and
artificially sustained by relentless attention.

Other than for passing entertainment, there is nothing in mankind's
natural mental world that is of any value to one, HotOnTheTrail.

Physically, ordinary men seek comfort;
while mentally they prefer to be flogged.

As he made his way though the bright morning sun
as it bounced off the surrounding wet leaves,
a traveler in a wood mused:
“The play of light can play tricks on your eyes”………then further mused:
“And even more so  --  the play of dark.”

                 One man had a thing he woke up with every morning.

A civilization is beginning to crumble
when it becomes acceptable for its leader to cry:
same with an individual's consciousness
when their mind begins to tolerate weakness in thought.

And another man says:
“I can become more conscious by merely thinking about something outside the normal repetitiveness of my mind;
and I can become even more conscious than that by not thinking even about that!…………or maybe it is when I do think specifically about that….
…..no, it is when I do not think about not thinking about it --  ah rats! –
now I’m not sure again.”

Consciousness can never be comprehended without understanding its symbolic nature --  and mundane consciousness can never unravel
the correct mystery of symbolism --  since that be itself.

The Rule: No metaphor works unless it is original with you;
               all others are fairy tales: all symbolism --  no direct realization.

He who understands that all words are games -- can stop playing the game,
                      (or at least have life stop using his mind as the ball).

There is only one thing an awakened man does not understand and that is
what being awake means --
and there is only one thing the CosmicCheetah can’t catch  –   itself.
...Oh yeah, and there is only one person who won’t drive you crazy yakin’ at you - --  and you haven’t discovered him yet  --  or you wouldn’t be reading this.

                      Note that there is no metaphorical news channel:
         those who know-what-is-going-on already know what is going on.

According to our survey: 49.3% of our readers like the Daily News best when itis built around a single stable topic,
while 50.4% prefer it when it seems loose and slippery,
(the assumption here being that the unresponding .3% are beginning to get it).

After reading an article about a large clinical study of the neurotransmitter,, dopamine,
one man says he is somewhat disappointed in that upon his original hearing of it, (based on the first part of its name),
he assumed it was something unique to him.
