He
who says he knows what is going on
and
then expresses concern therewith,
has
no idea what is going on.
Mountains
and mitochondria know what is going on and have nothing to say about it;
priests,
politicians and your crazy-uncle-harry-up-in-the-attic talk about
it constantly;
question:
who is the smartest? -- to which would you entrust your life?
Consciousness
is programmed to talk, without it consciousness would be a washout;
a
non starter; an accordionist’s beeper,
and
when it is directly involved with the rest of the brain in survival related
activity
its
speech is intended for internal use and is totally focused on
the
essential matter at hand,
but
when it is not so engaged, it begins to babble,
both
to itself -- not to other areas of the brain -- but to
itself,
and
eventually to other humans as well.
This
inner prattle is the set construction for the dream drama that is ordinary
men’s
so-called,
personal lives;
their
pancreas, platelets and privates live silent, real-life lives
while
their thoughts and words float mainly in fairy tales.
Those
who know what is going on have no comment thereon --
“no
comment” in the sense of critical ones,
which
are the only persistent, serious statements men make about life,
in
that ordinary minds are not moved to comment on a matter
unless
they have some objection to it.
For
human benefit, consciousness may wish to change the course of a river,
but
it does not condemn the river for its present one;
and
minds will plot ways to resist hurricanes, but they do not get angry with
the winds;
only
when off duty, recreational consciousness turns its attention to affairs
in
the non physical, second reality, not native to the planet --
products
solely of its own creation -- does critical commentary commence.
Men
do not perceive ugly mountains -- only ugly sculptures;
they
find no offensive brooks -- only offensive books;
no
evil natural, physical actions (such as gravity or evaporation),
all
actions labeled evil by man come strictly from man –
and
those most passionately denounced are the actions of his consciousness
and
speech -- not his behavior.
No
sane man would take seriously a proffered dispute over whether
oaks
or elms have the right approach to life,
yet
will, wrangles regarding god’s correct name;
consider
the fact that men see no conflicts worthy of notice or mention
occurring
in the natural, physical world outside of them,
whereas
in the non physical, cultural world,
which
in essence exists inside of them, in their thoughts,
conflict
is its life blood.
The
mind can let a pleasant day pass without comment there about,
while
making much note of how inclement was the previous,
and
how threatening the forecast for the morrow;
in
its primary function, consciousness is programmed to find problems,
which,
via its slack time, has led to man finding life to be a problem,
which
does no observable harm -- contraire --
this
attitude results in him constantly rearranging his physical circumstances
to
more comfortably serve him,
but
this programming, while materially beneficial,
offers
no comparable mental satisfaction.
Increasing
one’s safety & comfort does not increase one’s understanding,
though
such is the collective drive within man,
and
it is from the mind’s constant fault finding that all such improvements
to
physical existence occur;
the
faults men enumerate within his non physical reality produce nothing
beneficial
for the few seeking to get-to-the-bottom-of-things.

TheBigSecret
you find at the bottom of things is this:
at
the very bottom of things -- things
are as they are;
they
are as they are notwithstanding any man’s comments thereabout;
things
are as they are in spite of all men’s collective beliefs that
they
should
be otherwise,
(remember
it is things-as-they-are which cause men to believe what they do).
Only
normal, sane men have anything to say about how things are,
and
anyone who has any serious comment to make about how things are
has
no clue whatever to how things really are and what is actually going on
all
around them and all inside them.
Life
clearly has no interest in men awakening to what is going on,
or
it would make them naturally so aware;
any
interest you have in the matter (you might say) is -- off-the-books:
a
strictly private frolic that life tolerates in a few,
and
damn sure does little to assist;
it
is indeed, indeed, quite difficult to ever get anything even remotely resembling
a
firm-grasp on how exactly to pursue this interest;
life
lets a few people be born with the desire to know,
but
then does almost nothing to help them fulfill it.
One
of the few things that can be said unconditionally for the use of
the few is this:
no
thought that appears in you which comments on anything
in
a manner that is in any way critical has any value whatsoever;
there
simply is no such animal as, enlightening-criticism:
this
is at complete natural odds with your natural mind,
and
there is no evidence to support it -- no way to prove it,
but
the TrueFew
can rely on its validity as solidly as they can
the
sun’s appearance tomorrow morning, or the next breath they will take.
This
offers an instantly available, always operational tool for the really anxious
& alert: all criticism of life is the sound of snoring --
of
abject ignorance of what life is about and man’s place in it;
there
are no exceptions to this -- no way out,
and
you either get it or you don’t, and even while you don’t,
it
can be of inestimable value to just keep remembering the idea –
even
if you do not fully understand it, or even actually believe it to be true:
just
keep interrupting the ordinary flow of fault finding thoughts through you
with
your own unnatural comment:
“All criticism is sleep.
All resistance to anything mental is an admission
of ignorance.
Any comment about life is an embarrassment.”
There
is not only nothing negative to be said about life --
there
is nothing
to be said -- save by the crowd.
The
smart man lets other hamsters run the secondary wheel;
it
must be turned,
and there is no shortage of willing hamsters,
but
a man with a keen ear will hear the kernel of this,
and
undertake not to let his consciousness be constantly composed-of,
and
totally overtaken-by the meaningless, not-understood-at-all
critical
comments life relentlessly feeds the collective, natural minds of men.
If
your consciousness at any given instant is resisting something mental,
you
are comprehending nothing about life -- it is truly that plain &
simple,
and
thus offers a solid place from which to start & prosecute your pursuit.
Seeing-to-the-bottom-of-things
is as scattered & complex as the universe itself,
yet
as simple & close by as the lens of your eyeball;
there
is a physical reality -- and there is a bullshit one,
they
are both necessary for a normal, collective life;
for
an extraordinary understanding of
life -- one of them is privately not.
Simulare
auxillari conversic rota sed non ita experiri extraordinarius:
I
appear to help turn the wheel, but I do not:
thus
have I experienced something extraordinary –
I realize what is really going on.
