Everybody wants to be recognized for,  knowing-something  --
which can either be: knowing how to physically do something,
(plant beans, play basketball, perform surgery),
or be knowing about something that exists only in men’s words:
the critical fissure in human existence: the difference between doing, and story-telling.

To be enlightened is to know-about-knowing;
to be awake is to know the true story regarding story-telling.

What a man says that he thinkscould be of some significance --  if
he planned, intended and willed the thoughts that he has  --  otherwise.....
                                                (you know the drill).

Nobody can beat the rap, (and the rap is): whatever you, by temperament are.
What you can do however (albeit extraordinary and uncalled for) is to:
(1): realize the rap (2): accept the rap, then (3): have your consciousness let go of it.

These three together constitute: awakening-to-your-own-condition.

Forget about vampires, zombies & E.T.’s --
if you do not find the most amazing thing in life the fact that you are now thinking about vampires, zombies & E.T.'s from your seeing these words on your computer screen,
there is little chance you have the ability to ever distinguish the truly extraordinary from the mundane (which is the mother and daughter of all that is extraordinary).

What is more astounding than there being something in your head
thoroughly engaged in activity that seems totally apart from your purely
physiological existence.

....or better yet:
what is more confounding than the fact that humans feel a need for the word, seems.

All autobiographies are of losers: in spite of the always central theme of
the author detailing the troubles of his life and his eventual triumph there over,
they are still always the story of a loser,
for no one but a loser would admit that anything in his life was ever a problem.

Real heroes come not in relative degrees --  nor in self identification.

People who (when they tell you something)
go to the trouble of saying that they, know-what-they-are-talking-about
have not taken the trouble to know what they are talking about.

Those who-know --  do not there get via self proclamation.

Definition: Evil:
evil is someone trying to dominate you when you do not want to be dominated.

"Pa --  is having your consciousness commanded by thoughts an evil?"

Consciousness has no natural immune system;
the body is susceptible to disease  --   the mind to story telling.

If you have never asked: “Why do bad things happen to good people
there may be hope for you.

To be of ordinary consciousness is to be near-drowned in thoughts.

Being awake has no public face;
no lobby, no organization, no slogan or proclaimed program,
...............and few of its numbers know each other.

Trying to awaken is the attempt to untie an un untieable knot,
and only those who succeed realize that the knot is un untieable.

It is better to not-get-it, and know that you don't,
than to think you do when you do not.
