Thinking, as commonly practiced, equals nothing but simple story-telling;
.....which is no problem as long as you can remember the difference between
the wind and a weather vane.

* * *

There would be no progress for man
were it not for the relentless running of his thoughts --  including the meaningless ones,
                                 that is to say --   the majority of them.

* * *

Everything is systemic --  including periodic anomalies.

* * *

The one actual conspiracy is  --  and always has been:
men’s attempt to keep what they have,
which accounts for the poor’s invention of the concept of conspiracy.

Care to consider how this applies to man’s natural mind and its self defense?

The sooner the better that you realize the name of life’s game is: vested-interest.
                               ....("Hey! --  you gonna play or what!")

* * *

Of much concern to ordinary men is other people talking about them unfavorably
while the few’s main concern is over their own mind talking about them
                                             favorably or otherwise.

* * *

Being asleep is looking for psychological interpretations of physiological stories.

* * *

Okay  --   the double, inner circle of hell for the few would be
                         to have to talk about yourself throughout eternity!

Son-of-an-earlier-item:

The mind produces nothing permanent in itself;
its City & second reality exists only as an imprint in men’s brains,
and only in the material manifestations of its plans is anything substantial found;
the lack of anything permanent within itself is The Curse of the mind,
and only those who grasp the impermanence of mind are free of the curse.

If you want story-telling to seem as real and significant to you as doing is,
there is nothing in the universe to stop you.

Only adults wake-up  --   only adults understand story-telling.

* * *

For some there is the extreme stress of having to do-something --  almost anything!

* * *

Wanting to wake-up is an expression of the mind’s desire to  -- clean up reality.

* * *

FUNNY TERMS: Personal trainer; support group; repressed memories;
                             being disrespected; seeking approval.

* * *

Son says to father:
"You never did answer my question of whether I should be thinking in terms of me: wanting to wake-up, or me  --  trying to wake-up  ---
and if there is actually any difference."

Trying to awaken is the only activity known in which the effort is the accomplishment.

....("Well no wonder it is so simple & straightforward,"  noted Prof. Sardonios.)

* * *

If you left everyone else free to tell whatever stories they like and you told none --

you would be free.

The only man in the world awake, just as he was taking his dying breath,
spoke for the first time in fifty years, after being asked if he was awake, replied:
                                                        "You got to be kidding."
