The Manual Of Mechanics For Those With Hands-On Mental Tools

The Fact.
Men perceive themselves to live in two worlds:
one objective, material and relatively intractable,
the other subjective and intangible, and apparently quite malleable.
An Offshoot.
Life had men create the concept of society (as employed in such notions as:
“Society is to blame for the violence displayed by our young”)
so that there will be a non existent entity (but one accepted as actual)
to hold responsible for matters which life makes men condemn  --
which relieves them of having to think about the fact that they could be.
There is no such thing as society; no group of people who constitute such a creature;
everything in the life of man that doesn’t come out of the ground comes out of him: first out of life, into man’s hormones, then from his hormones into his neurons,
then from there to his tongue and pen; Men do not like large breasts and small waists on Women because of society having established such a standard,
nor do Women want to look that way because of the pressures-of-society;
everything in the life of man that doesn’t come out of the ground comes out of him:
the mind of man is responsible for everything in his life that is not dug up or mined;
there is no society  responsible for anything  --  just the mind of man  --
doing life’s bidding.

One man only relived painful memories when he was hungry.

How Mind Works (As Per A Conversation).
“Men love to repeat the line from their holy books: ‘The word was god,’
which could be enlightening if they considered the fact that without words,
men would have never conceived of a god.”
    “I think you missed it: god gave man words so they would be able to praise him.”
“And write texts containing the line: ‘The word was god.’”
    “Yes..............................oh.”
(Sub title: How Mind Serves As A Sufficiently Dizzying Merry Go Round.)

When, after suffering an outrage at someone’s hands, a person says:
“This murderer/rapist/swindler has ruined my life,
and made it impossible for me to ever trust anyone again”  --
Question: To whom is this sentiment addressed and for what purpose?

“Pa pa: how do you know that men do not understand the things
you say that they don’t.”
    “By what they say about them.”

One street corner philosopher shouted to the passing throng:
“Man’s skeletal system is to his muscular system as consciousness is to mind  --
and moreover: man’s hormones are to his neurons as consciousness is to words;”
and ne’er missing a step, the throngers continued passing by.
“My boy, never forget that what men appear to understand
is precisely what they are supposed to appear to understand.”
    “So it’s not really a matter of: who’s-fooling-who?!”
“Oh! --  certainly it is; but the ordinary can’t see who the whos are.”

One man offers: “Beyond all the attempted descriptions of what Enlightenment,
or Awakening might be, consider: What else can it be than the proper response to
the question: ‘Is my consciousness to be ruled entirely by words?’”

A dying sage said to his followers:
“For forty years I set my own mind on fire with my talks to you;
I only hope that you had a tenth the fun.”

How Mind & Words Work In Collusion.
Says one man: “If you are serious about irony,
no one can tell that you are ironic.”

Snippet.
“I hope you don’t think that you being pleasant to me will make up for you not being awake in the way I thought you’d be.”
    “I know it will.”

People who don’t understand what’s going on are always curious about
what’s going on with other people.

On slow days in the city: strained attempts to be hip will be accepted as hip.
Wit and originality are natural to only a few;
the rest are satisfied with sarcasm and re-runs.

When the ordinary hear someone engage in overt self analysis
they mistakenly take it to be such.

Except concerning food: only children take the words of adults seriously.

To encourage himself along proper lines:
one man buys books on irrelevant subjects  --  then doesn't read them:
it's knowing that fog will always be around you but never breathing it seriously;
it's being a dog living by the street who pays traffic no mind.

One man muses: “Trying to wake-up is like standing at the bottom of Niagara Falls,

and trying not to get wet.”

One rhythmically hip gent pictures ordinary thinking as: clapping-on-the-beat.

There are seldom used seats in the stadium for the human game from which

you can tell the players without a program.

Those who would, more conscious be,
know not the term: “Leave well enough alone”  --
--  oh! – they know it all right  --  they just don’t pay any attention to it.

Proverb Update.
If you know where to run  --  you can hide.

P.S. To (as they say in the city): “save some time” be advised now:
if you are a natural born nervous-system-rebel --
the easiest thing for you to do is go ahead and BE one.
