Rather than being a cause of irritation,
(as is so common), when seen for what it truly IS
the World of Words can be a source
of harmless fun.
One guy's motto:
"If it moves, keep an eye on it!"
"If it talks, laugh at it!"
Words damage only those who are heedless to their distinction from movement;
while words are a phantom army,
they can still overrun the unwary.
A revolutionist once thought:
What I like about what I know
is that I STILL like it all.
One son (well into his middle years) one day said to his father: "Although I've tried to deny it--and even struggled with it--I've had to face the glaring fact that I HATE anything new coming into my life."
And his old man gave a halfhearted smile and nodded his understanding, while thinking to himself:
"Huh--just wait'll you fully wake up to what's going on!"
All fires can put themselves out;
All unrests can quell themselves;
All wild dogs can bring themselves to heel, and
All questions can answer themselves--
(In fact, in this one Land I refer to,
ONLY they can effect such results.)
Real feet step on real feet,
and the cemetery is filled with actual bodies;
but what troubles the few is a ghost within them
"knocking about," attempting to get
a glimpse of itself........and this is what it's....all about.
Two steps forward;
Three steps backward;
Then step sideways, (if you can).
