It's A Challenge

One Guy's rhyming slogan:
"I thought about me,
I thought about you,
It's become such a habit that
I'M PRETTY WELL SCREWED."
A boy asked his father:
"When it comes to keeping your mind in its ordinary (and to me) unacceptable state--which is worse: thinking about yourself, or thinking about other people?"
And his larger version furrowed his brow, rubbed his chin, then chimed in:
"By god I don't b'lieve I can answer that'n right off, but I'll tell you this, by god: Your questions sure are improvin'!"
And the boy beamed with delight, then the old man added:
"In fact, if'n your questions get MUCH better you won't have any more!" and the lad lit up with confused anticipation and excitement.
Movement comes from instinct,
and so do WORDS--
but words seem so OTHERWISE.
This, by the way,
presents a challenge to understanding
that few men ever meet.
"The persistent state of knowing-what's-going-on
can result in the inexplicable condition wherein
you have the cause--
but no cure."
and now a Useful Study Tip:
For you students still living in the dorm: You don't have to "compare notes" if there's only one of you in the room!
followed by some News From The Bush:
One explorer (as he tightened the belt on his safari jacket) said the his present aim was to become as alert in movement as a gazelle, and as stable in thought as a hippo.
Movement can be naturally still;
while to do so seems UN-natural
to WORDS--
Uncertainty is a contrived product of TWO:
Spontaneity, the natural output of One.
And on stage, the actor intoned:
"Be still, my beating movements!""and they replied: "OKay."
and he continued:
"And you too, words!"and they said: "For-GET It!!"
(You think maybe that guy in the outback was onto something with the notion of an awakened man being at least partially similar to a quiet, calm hippo peacefully floating the water, right up to his nostrils?!"
