Annoying Weekend
Supplement

Everyone in the world knows
What Needs To Be Done:
All the priests,
All the philosophers,
All the critics,
All the educators,
All the parents,
All the mystics:
Every one in the world knows what needs to be done:Keep your mind on what you're doing.
(....the mystics are always particularly annoyed to have this pointed out....)
A father said to a son:
"In times past, mysticism was more mysterious than it is now," and the boy inquired:
"In WHAT times past?"
and the elder replied:
"In the earlier times before one understands what the mysticism thing is really all about."
A Related Motto To Live By:
"Keep your eye on the ball!
And be indifferent about it!"
And suddenly the son asked his father, "It's when your mind slips off of what you're doing that you go to sleep, isn't it?!....That's all there is to it!!"
(...."Come on!!" complains a mystic, "You know it's not that simple! Come on!!")
And a nearby squirrel reminded:
When all other methods are failing you--
Laugh.
And the lad further inquired:
"In my adventure to discover what's-really-going-on,
how can I tell when I'm 'in over my head'?"
and the father replied,"When you are IN your head
rather than in the movements of living....
....LOST! and never realizing it;
trapped amongst the tangle of words!
....that's when."
HARDBALL QUIZ FOR THE WEEKEND:
How can you tell for certain that a man does not know
what's-going-on?
Answer: He has any question.
