Grief Is Always Local

(or becomes so when talked about)

As he stood, looking down that "long road of life,"
a philosopher said, "God damn, that's a long road."

With most people telling "what kinda guy they are" it's hard to tell whether they're actually telling, or asking.

One of the most critical connections a man has with an ordinary existence is his interface with seriousness,
(but, besides all that, you need to remember that if you're gonna survive in the City: the sillier it is, the more serious you gotta take it.)

Just as he died, this one person announced to all gathered around his dispatch site,
"We are now again as we have always been."

Whilst experiencing a peak moment of pique, this one guy decided,
"Huh! -- from now on I'm gonna take out my frustrations on Life."
After second-thinking himself, he then thought,
"Assuming Life hasn't already beaten me TO this game."

Regarding when thought might be enough thought, consider:
A plane can't “be” TOO airworthy.

One of those speakers over in the park was causing quite a commotion, and when I got there he was just saying, "Those who 'want' power should TAKE power; this is the only seemly approach."
(Was he referring to the Primary or Secondary world?
...Does he even know the difference?
...Do you?
)

One guy, when trying to be serious with himself, would say,
"Hey man, I be serious!" ...then he'd have the biggest, ole warmest laugh.

Something that makes you laugh at noon can make you cry at midnight; does this have to do with the nature of thought…or time? Or, possibly with the formation and consideration of such inquiries as this?
(Or, a variation: Might the presentation of a problem be part OF the problem?)

I overheard this one fellow say that,
"One thing about being human is that it leaves plenty of room
for improvement."

Grief is “always” local.
(Grief that must be talked about is of a secondary order and thus “becomes” local.)

If you were to think of "Things-Specific" as being the anti-matter to the matter of Processes, then Things-Specific must have their own anti-counterpart.
(Anyone care to take this one for the best two out of three falls?)

What secret is worth a damn if no one knows it?
(The alternative I cower to consider.)

One guy just up and told his brain, "Hey, if you're in the fire, the 'fat's' in the fire," and after receiving a quizzical look, added, "And you can take that any way you want to."

A chap with a paper, near the bus stop by the park Saturday evening, said to a fellow traveler, "Even while conflicting religious and nationalistic tensions seem to be easing, I foresee the final confrontation will be between those who own property and those who color their hair."
