The "One Mo' Time" Blues Department: (Gimmie a slow shuffle in B-flat...Ahem):
"Well, Hello, Baby/Kid/Partner, I just called to say -- this ain't me..."
At a small gathering a tall gent handed me his card, which read,
"Babcock Co-Op; Private Detective."
He admitted this was not his real family name, but one he had given himself (as he put it), "As to better reflect my desire to share the brilliance of my mind, and the glory of my achievements...and, you might wonder -- 'Share with WHOM?'
W hy with myself old man, with my self."
FYI: A secondary City activity has become institutionalized once its members have not only begun to believe their own advertising and propaganda, but have in fact themselves started to nourish therefrom.
Many of history's great figures had brain tumors.
(Which wasn't realized until they became un-great.)
In many of his films, this certain movie director would have the overhead microphone clearly visible in an important scene; in his later years he finally spoke of this device, and said it was to serve three distinct purposes. One was just to irritate some in the audience, a second was to abruptly remind some engrossed viewers that their attention was being held by action that was artificial and contrived, and a third reason was just to irritate some more.
In an intricate, though quite operational sense, a Revolutionist's City tongue could be said to be his own advocatus diaboli -- devil's advocate, in that his everyday speech argues, perforce, against his own wordless understanding.
This one other guy was dismayed one day, when glancing up, he thought he saw rust stains on the ceiling of his bathroom shower; he was later greatly relieved when he realized he'd been looking internally.
(I can assure you that even the most sophisticated neurosurgeon goes into sticker shock when confronted with a current painter's bill.)
The thinking of a Revolutionist is like receiving radio broadcasts
from stations not yet on the air.
"Say, Mr. Butcher Man, there's too much fat on that cut."
"But it's nothing but bone as it is."
"Then the BONE'S too fat."
Okay -- it may take a long time to get there,
but it takes just as long not to.
Always act like things are more exciting than they actually are....
(just in case they aren't).Watch out for the backlash - - - - - - - it's coming.
