There is the mind-and-thinking and then there is consciousness.
One seems to begin inside of the other, then one appears to become captive of the other. What people such as you attempt to do is to set up a new arrangement.

 

 

Sub Distinction: Consciousness needs no introduction such as the one just given, for the sake of the mind.

 

The mind can entertain
consciousness, inform.

 

From An Extended View --
The Way It Would Appear:
Cats have their body;
birds, their mind;
men, consciousness.

 

 

One man's mind admits:
"Dichotomies run in my family."

 

 

Don't waste consciousness on conversations & comments --these are jobs for the mind.

 

 

To be made civilized
is to have the barrenness of consciousness
turned into the city of the mind -- but for some, this is not the end of the game.

 

 

Consciousness without the mind is not
human consciousness --
with it, a seventy year "done deed."
But for some the game does not end there either.

 

 

Consciousness cannot talk
the mind can do little else.

 

Let's go beyond the division of, cats-and-birds:
There are birds who are caged,
and one which is not.

 

 

The mind may be a "quick study"
but consciousness is a constant one.

 

 

One man wouldn't let his consciousness out of his sight.
Another man wouldn't let his mind take his consciousness out of sight.

 

 

No one knows where a thinker comes from
and no one sure as hell knows where he's headed.
