Question: How can you spot the mystic among a group of prisoners about to be executed?
He's the one who, when they're asked what final request they have, never has one.

Lit & Snit
No auto-bio -- no stress.

Instead of a head, one man had an aquarium,
and, in place of thoughts, he had fish
but the water was so murky that he
couldn't really tell for sure exactly what was in there.

Okay, another one:
Instead of a head, one man had a wild-game preserve...ah, never mind,
let's go on to something different.

At the frontiers of a certain expanding kingdom were placed watchtowers manned by two lookouts: one on the ground, and one in the tower. Due to the physical laws of optics, things appeared different to the man on the ground than they did to the one above, thus rendering communications between the two always imprecise -- and yet, the arrangement worked, and, if you can understand how and why,you move closer to seeing The Secret.

Those who speak of ignorance do not understand the nature of knowledge.

Imagine for a moment that there are two types of knowledge:
the mystical, transcendental variety regarding the basic nature of life;
and then the common, practical knowledge possessed by everyone
and necessary for everyday existence.
But now further picture that an unrecognized purpose of thelatter type of common knowledge
is to create a background upon which ignorance can make its appearance.
(Would not such a situation clear up a multitude of unanswerable questions and unfathomable
paradoxes in the life of man?)

There was once a band of mystics whose reputed motto was:
"If it can be understood -- it's a waste of time."
(Which some say is a condensed version of the original which read:
"If it can be understood it's already a waste of time." Take your pick.)
