On the other side of the pool, a couple of gentlemen were comparing the amounts of insurance that they'd realized from the destruction of their businesses, and the one with the least asked the one who'd gotten the most:
"But how do you start an avalanche?"

Is it better to believe that life is a harmless sport, or a serious contest?
...or could it even be preferable to just leave life the hell alone,
and don't believe that it's anything in particular?
...And one man's mind snootily replied: "I'm sorry -- I'm simply not built that way."

There was once a world on which everyone believed they knew what was going on...well, not everyone -- "everyone" -- for there were a few who ultimately concluded that the accepted common view did not fully cover the reality of it all, and they began to privately scramble to fill in the missing parts.

There was once a world on which everyone believed they knew what was going on --
and that's the way it's mostly s'posed to be.

Simple people feel the least stress, but also have and accomplish least,
while the more sophisticated have more, do more, but experience more stress,
so it would seem the question is: "What to do -- what to do?"
(But don't bother asking it of a giraffe, a drunk, or a mystic... well...not if you're expecting a serious reply.)

The Implements Of The Mental Wars:
Transcendental thinking eventually runs out of ammo.

From his hidden, protected position he came,
presenting himself to himself, with the declaration:
"I am ready to surrender and turn myself in."
...What more can an enlightened mind do?

After having done a good deed for a genie, a certain man was offered his choice of rewards:
either to be happy, or to be rather dumb. And the man thought: "That's a choice?"

The stress men feel in being alive is in their thinking about being alive.

Within a land that has no boundaries,
rebellion is but an illusion.

Behind all secret, mystical lodges are two cemetaries in which their departed are buried.
(There is also a third one for those who won't stay dead.)
